3 Glass Beaded Garland Patterns Using XL Fish Beads

Below are three different glass beaded garland designs with bead counts and links to the beads used. Featuring XL fish beads, all three garlands follow the same beading pattern and use the same bead shapes but in different colors and finishes. When working with larger beads please keep in mind it's like handling a blown glass ornament -- string them gently into place on the cord and try to avoid knocking them into each other to avoid breakage. Be sure to leave at least 1" of slack in your completed garland to allow it to drape.

Supplies: Beading Cord (recommended size: No. 10 or No. 8), Blown Glass Beads, Hooks, Scissors

Pink and Green Fish is a mix of soft and subtle shades with a pop of aqua. This garland fits in well with both beachy and classic Christmas decor.

This is the beading pattern to follow:

Pattern #1: A B C B A

Pattern #2: D E F E D

Pattern #3: A B G B A

Your garland will begin and end with pattern #1. Follow this sequence: pattern #1 + pattern #2 + pattern #3 + pattern #2 + pattern #1 + pattern #2 pattern #3 + pattern #2. Your garland will have 5 sections of pattern #1, 8 sections of pattern #2, and 4 sections of pattern #3. Completed length is approximately 70" which is 5 ft. 10 in. The full garland will have this sequence: 1-2-3-2-1-2-3-2-1-2-3-2-1-2-3-2-1
